Long before the din of partisan politicians, shock jocks and non-stop commercial blocks, live radio filled the air with music and magic.
That golden era returns Monday evening to Town Square Park in Schaumburg, when Steve Cooper's Orchestra strikes up the big band sounds of October 1944, recreating a broadcast of the popular "Your Hit Parade" program, literally, note for note.
