BT today announced that it has awarded a discretionary prize to the student designer of an innovative portable visual display aid for the partially sighted and those with deteriorating vision. The aid was designed by Laura Birtwistle from the Glasgow School of Art, for her entry to the RSA Design Directions Awards Inclusive Worlds. She was also awarded the ADAPT Trust (Access for Disabled people to Arts Premises Today) Travel Award for her design. Her winning design can be seen at www.rsa-design.net from June 30.
