In May, Entegris, Inc. (Chaska, MN, 952-556-3131)(Nasdaq: ENTG)(www.entegris.com), a materials integrity management company for such industries as semiconductor and hard disk drive manufacturing, completed its acquisition of the precision parts cleaning business of SNEF located in Montpellier France. All the assets of the precision parts cleaning business of SNEF were purchased on a cash basis. The transaction is aimed at expanding the geographic reach of Entegris' materials integrity management services.
The precision parts cleaning business of SNEF had last twelve-month annual sales of approximately US $2 million. SNEF, an approximately US $500 million electronics and engineering organization, has some 4,500 employees.
The facility at Montpellier will become the Entegris European Service Center (EESC). From this facility, Entegris will service the European customers with precision clean certified parts as an element of their off-site service program. All personnel from SNEF, Montpellier have been hired by Entegris.
