Minister for Lifelong Learning, Further and Higher Education, Bill Rammell today announced the appointment of three new members to the Board of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

The new members are:

* Professor David Eastwood: Vice Chancellor of the University of East Anglia;

* Professor Tim Wilson: Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Hertfordshire;

* Dame Patricia Hodgson: Chair of Higher Education Regulation Review Group

These appointments replace outgoing members - Professor Sir Gareth Roberts, Stephen Bundred and Ann Lloyd.

Mr Rammell also announced the reappointments of Peter Saraga, Nigel Savage, Sir Richard Sykes and Jackie Fisher for a further term on the HEFCE Board.
