SPRINGFIELD - A Springfield male was shot and killed early Sunday by a Springfield police officer after a high-speed chase involving a stolen truck, police said.

The driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was not identified by police, pending notification of family members. Police did not identify the officer, who was not injured.

Police said "shots were fired" but did not say whether the driver had a weapon....
