SILVER SPRING, Md., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Veteran television executive Maureen Smith has been named executive vice president and general manager of Animal Planet, U.S. The announcement was made today by Billy Campbell, president, Discovery Networks, U.S. Based at the company's headquarters in Silver Spring, Md., Smith will report to Clark Bunting, executive vice president, Discovery U.S. Networks Group and join Animal Planet July 15.
