Article Excerpt With a poker face, BellSouth Mississippi president John McCullouch tells a reporter that people would be surprised to know he dyes his hair gray. "It's really jet black," he said, without smiling. After a beat, his longtime communications guru, Patsy Tolleson, doubles over from laughter.
"I'm real serious at work, but I really do get a kick out of practical jokes," said McCullouch, laughing. "The problem is, nine times out of 10, people don't think I'm joking when I say something crazy like that because I am so serious most of the time."
