MISSISSAUGA, Ontario -- mmwave Technologies, a subsidiary of Wireless Age Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:WLSA) and leading provider of a full range of technical solutions to the Canadian communications market, today announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Canon Canada Inc. for their Free Space Optics (FSO) product line.

Canon is leading the way in optical wireless transmission technology. Canon's latest Canobeam(TM) transceivers are versatile and solid performers and are capable of high speed economical transmission up to 1.25 Gbps. With help from Canon's Auto Tracking function the transceivers are able to provide high-quality, reliable wireless transmission up to 2km and require no radio frequency allocations, permit or licenses.
