Why don't more teach if it's so easy?

This letter is in response to all the letters that bash teachers and complain about their "high salaries" and "cushy retirement," one of the most recent letters published being from Kenneth Hellstern of Fox Lake.

I work in a school. I am not a teacher, but I have worked with hundreds of teachers over the past 13 years, and I can tell you none of them is living the high life.
