Smoking law merits governor's signature

On behalf of the more than 6,000 members of the Illinois Public Health Association, I would like to commend the members of the Illinois General Assembly who voted in favor of House Bill 672. This bill, if signed into law, would give local municipalities the option to regulate smoking in their community.

The members of the Illinois Public Health Association urge Gov. Rod Blagojevich to sign HB 672 as soon as possible.
