Oregon State will be joined by Ohio State, St. John's and Virginia when the NCAA baseball regionals begin Friday at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field in Corvallis.

The second-ranked Beavers, the Pac-10 champions at 19-5 and in the postseason for the first time since 1986, found out they would host a regional on Sunday. OSU learned its opponents Monday morning when the brackets were revealed live on ESPN.

The Beavers are the top seed in the regional and will open the tournament Friday against fourth-seeded Ohio State at 5 p.m. No. 2 seed Virginia faces third-seeded St. John's in the opening game at 1 p.m.
