Jami Oshiro

A memorial service will be held May 31 for Jami Lynn Oshiro of Eugene, who died May 25 of undetermined causes. She was 35.

She was born Aug. 23, 1969, in Okinawa, Japan, to Thomas Oshiro Jr. and Jeanne Young Wong. She lived in Eugene for the past 15 years and previously lived in Honolulu.

Oshiro graduated from the University of Oregon. She worked in social services and did volunteer work.

She loved music and produced a compact disc. She enjoyed animals and was an avid photographer. She was a member of the Eugene Buddhist Priory.

Survivors include her parents of Honolulu; a stepmother, Patricia; and two brothers, Nick and Chris Wong.

Tuesday's service will be at 4 p.m. at the Eugene Buddhist Priory, 85415 Teague Loop. England's Eugene Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements....
