Ridgeview educator is Teacher of Year

Barb Pope of Ridgeview Elementary School has been named the Springfield Teacher of the Year. She has taught in Springfield for 25 years, 24 of them at Ridgeview. Principal Stan Paine called her "a very special teacher by any measure" who develops a creative curriculum and delivers inspired instruction. "She rises above the crowd through the many leadership roles she plays in the school," he said.
