3Gb/s SATA RAID Controllers Designed for RAID 6 Data Protection
MILPITAS, Calif., May 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Promise Technology, Inc., the originator and leading supplier of SATA RAID data protection and storage solutions, today announced three new host-based Serial ATA (SATA) RAID controllers providing up to eight 3Gb per second (3Gb/s) SATA ports. The FastTrak SX4300/8300 and SuperTrak EX8350 models span the market from value- focused, four-port, RAID 5 to high-performance, eight-port with hardware acceleration designed for RAID 6 data protection.
All models launching today offer SATA II compatibility, including 3Gb/s speed, Native Command Queuing (NCQ), staggered spin-up, drive hot swap and disk activity LED headers support. Available on the latest SATA drives, NCQ increases I/O performance by intelligently reordering data requests so that the data can be accessed more quickly. In addition, all models provide multiple logical drive support.
