SINGAPORE, May 27 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Biosensors International Group, Ltd (SGX: BIG; Bloomberg: BIG SP), a manufacturer of innovative medical devices used in interventional cardiology and critical care procedures, today announced the results of a 12-month safety clinical trial which found its BioMatrix(TM) Drug-Eluting Stent ("DES") to be safe and effective.

Professor Eberhard Grube of the Siegburg Heart Center, Siegburg, Germany, at the EuroPCR '05 held in Paris from 24 - 27 May 2005, reported on behalf of the investigating team its findings on the STEALTH (Stent Eluting A9 BioLimus Trial in Humans) for the BioMatrix(TM) coronary stent which elutes the anti- restenosis drug Biolimus A9(TM).
