While I appreciate the contribution that FREE INQUIRY makes to the cultural dialogue, I am disappointed, at times, by the quality of some of your articles and op-ed pieces.

Massimo Pigliucci's op-ed, "Socrates and Religious Morality," (June/July 2004) is a case in point. Pigliucci obviously enjoys the opportunity to jar naive intro to philosophy students by constructing Plato's duly famous Euthyphro dilemma--an academic setting for "shock and awe." Yet his confidence in that dilemma is questionable. Philosophers have demonstrated that this dilemma can be overcome.
