Flower Remedies have mostly gained their reputation today for their effectiveness in healing the mind and the emotions as demonstrated by the work of Dr Edward Bach of the Bach Flower Remedies.
Flower essence therapy is not new--history shows that many ancient cultures possessed the knowledge of the therapeutic healing qualities of flowers. In particular, the Egyptian civilization was discovered to have documented evidence of their effective use. Later on in the 15th century, Swiss alchemist Paracelus wrote how he collected the dew from blossoms of flowering plants to treat emotional imbalances in his patients. He believed that as long as there was harmony between mind/body and spirit there could be no room for illness.
