The annual "Makin' Strides for Strays" walkathon Sunday benefits the Animals Deserving of Proper Treatment no-kill shelter for cats and dogs.

Fund-raising chairwoman Sandy Boston has seen the walkathon grow each year. Held the first Sunday in May, it coincides with Be Kind to Animals week.

What services do you provide animals?

We rescue homeless animals that we get from animal control agencies or some owner give-ups. Our purpose is to place animals in loving, caring homes.
