With one out and a 2-run lead in top of the sixth inning, Fremd softball coach Jim Weaver traded a run for an out on a double steal.

With junior ace Stacy Gillette on the mound, he liked his chances.

"We know we can get four outs with Stacy pitching," he said.

Gillette struck out Prospect's Monica Ruzicka to end the sixth and needed just 3 pitches for 3 groundball outs in the top of the seventh to close out a 2-1 win in Mid-Suburban League crossover action.
