Kelly Penney, 28, and Daniel Pyke, 32, both enjoyed the lifestyle of Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood and even spent time living in chic Lincoln Park.

But when it came time to buy their own home, they chose to invest in Village Station, a rowhouse-inspired community in Grayslake.

"I work in sales at Computer Discount Warehouse in Vernon Hills and Dan trades produce commodities in Libertyville so we centered our home search on the Libertyville, Mundelein and Grayslake areas," said Penney, a native of Mundelein.

"Dan's brother discovered Village Station and suggested we make a visit. We really were impressed...
