New Variable Annuity & Mutual Fund Products Part of Long-Term Strategy

SIMSBURY, Conn., May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. today announced several enhancements to its investment offerings to help Baby Boomers meet their retirement planning needs. The number of investment managers managing the investment options within its well-known Director variable annuity product has been expanded from two to eight and the product has been renamed The Director(R) M. Additionally, three new mutual funds are being launched -- The Hartford Floating Rate Fund(3), The Hartford Capital Appreciation II Fund and The Hartford Select Mid-Cap Value Fund.

These enhancements to The Hartford's investment products come at a time when the company is reaching record levels of growth across its entire business, particularly in investment products.
