BAY ST. LOUIS -- When a group of physicians asked Charlotte Santa Cruz to take care of an insurance paperwork nightmare, she knew she was on to something.
So in the early 1990s, Santa Cruz began another career. In 1995, the former television journalist established Advanced Business Systems, an insurance billing consulting firm with clients nationwide, to provide employers with solutions to the rising cost of healthcare.
In 2003, the business name was changed to Santa Cruz Insurance Group, LLC, to better reflect the portfolio of insurance and human resources services offered by the company....
