Elinor Edgerton
JUNCTION CITY - The funeral will be May 3 for Elinor R. Edgerton of Junction City, who died April 28 of cancer. She was 88.
Edgerton was born Feb. 26, 1917, in Pacific Junction, Iowa, to Elmer and Sarah Gilbert Edgerton.
She had lived in Junction City for 64 years and had worked as a caregiver. She belonged to the Junction City United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Virgil McSpadden of Junction City and Don Edgerton of Boise, Idaho; and two sisters, Phyllis Lewis of Hillsboro and Shirley Small of Salem.
Tuesday's service will be at 1 p.m. in Junction City United Methodist Church. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.
Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City is in charge of arrangements.
Howard Sievers
A memorial service will be held May 4 for Howard Sievers of Eugene, who died April 26 of age-related causes. He was 91.
Sievers was born Jan. 20, 1914, in Clinton, Iowa, to Howard and Catherine Brammann Sievers. He married Pauline Johnson on Aug. 16, 1949, in Seattle.
He moved from Iowa to Chicago, then to Seattle. He graduated from Garfield High School in Seattle and attended the University of Washington for two years.
He served in the Army in the South Pacific in World War II, attaining the rank of master sergeant and receiving the Bronze Star. He worked as...
