CORVALLIS - In the wake of the arrests of six Oregon State football players during a span of four months, the Beavers appear to have put some bite where their disciplinary bark used to be.

On Friday, following a five-week drafting process, OSU director of athletics Bob De Carolis announced a new code of conduct for the university's student-athletes.

There has been, he told a gathering of media at Gill Coliseum, "a line drawn in the sand.

"There are certain norms of behavior you have to adhere to," De Carolis said. "If you don't, you know what's going to happen."
