$70.6 Million Niagara Center Represents Largest Acquisition to Date

OMAHA, Neb., May 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Government Properties Trust, Inc. , a self-managed, self-administered real estate investment trust, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the Niagara Center at 130 S. Elmwood for approximately $70.6 million and the 186 Exchange Street property for approximately $5.4 million. Both properties are located in Buffalo, N.Y.

The Niagara Center is both the largest multi-tenant office building to be constructed in Buffalo since 1990 and the largest acquisition by Government Properties Trust to date. Tenants include the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Veteran's Affairs, National Labor Relations Board, Small Business Administration, Treasury Inspector General Tax Administrator, and General Services Administration.
