I was startled when my 19-year-old nephew noticed Which Door Has the Cadillac on the bookshelf and exclaimed, "Wow--a book by Andy Vazsonyi! Cool!" My nephew, who is not particularly fond of math, immediately recognized Andy as the man who saved the all-important P-51 Mustang plane in the 1940s. But then again, I really should not have been surprised by my nephew's reaction, as Andy's amazing life and work have touched such a wide variety of people and events during his long and storied career.
