Graduates have plenty on their minds as they reach one of life's peaks and consider the next challenge. Today, we talk with three seniors from Eugene-Springfield; the area's graduates and honor students are listed inside.

Brett Robert Gorham, Oak Hill School

Age: 18.

High school activities: Student government, including student body president and senior class president; National Honor Society president; taught a school play.

What was the most exciting thing you learned in high school? That I am entirely in control of my life.

Who was your most influential teacher and why? Mr. Armando Morales, my Spanish teacher, who I have had the opportunity to have since middle school. He has taught me far more than just Spanish, including the value of respect. I've also had the opportunity to go to Guanajuato, Mexico, his hometown, three times in our school's exchange program.

What one thing would you change about high school? More choices.

What are your plans for next year? Attend Willamette University.

What would you like to accomplish in the next 10 years? Find something I love to do and make a living at it.
