TORONTO -- Volcan Project Trenching Results Include 1.23 g/t Gold Over 80 Metres - Drilling Commenced

ANDINA Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ADM) ("Andina") is pleased to report the first set of assay results from a bulldozer trenching and related channel sampling program on its 54.5 square kilometre Volcan gold project, centrally located within the Maricunga gold belt, 170 kilometers east of Copiapo, Chile.

Approximately 1,100 metres of bulldozer trenching and sampling was completed over the Dorado East Zone ("East Zone") with the goal of establishing the continuity of the gold mineralization previously identified during a limited 1990's-era drilling program. Table 1 summarizes the weighted average gold grades from the trenching program and attached is a map which combines the trenching results and the historical drilling results.
