Ener1 Battery Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ener1, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ENEI) , and Advance Research Chemicals, Inc. (ARC) have signed a new contract to jointly develop an advanced, high energy lithium battery.

ARC and the research scientists at Ener1 have worked together for many years, with excellent results. Ener1 has already developed batteries using salts and cathode materials from ARC. These batteries were successfully tested at the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Results of this work have been presented by both companies at several national and international meetings dealing with advanced battery technologies and the materials involved.
