When was the last time you spoke to a dealer who was excited about flooring installation?

Such conversations usually start with: "Those darned installers ..." Where is the partnership that avoids this scenario? When I hear folks complaining about installers, the red flag goes up. It tells me no partnership exists. There are no company standards. No rules. No training. No spirit of competitiveness. No accountability! And, it appears there is little desire to satisfy the customer.

The good news is that it's a very simple problem to fix by embracing change. Taking charge, controlling the business and satisfying customers requires a willingness to change. If Joe, who provides your company with installation services, is still installing flooring in the same manner he did several years ago, he probably is not doing it correctly. Floor covering backings change, techniques change, installation supplies change and Joe also must change if your customers are to become repeat customers....
