Digital Angel Corporation today announced that its UK-based division, Signature Industries, LTD, (Signature) recently launched new GPS location products and a marketing agreement for China.

Signature is a world leader in developing and manufacturing Search and Rescue Beacon Equipment (SARBE). The following developments were announced earlier this month.

Global Reach & Rescue Emergency Location Transmitter (G2R-ELT): Earlier this week (September 15, 2003), Signature announced the launch of its latest GPS (Global Positioning System) Emergency Location Transmitter (ELT). This latest GPS device, labeled G2R-ELT, uses 406MHz digital transmissions, which allows for greatly enhanced global accuracy and leads to faster recovery and increased chance of survival. The underlying G2R technology -- which stands for "Global Reach & Recovery" -- represents the first time a military specification Personal Locator Beacon (PLD) has featured 406MHz digital transmission capability. The G2R Personal Locator Beacon was first announced earlier this year at the Paris Air Show (June 15-20, 2003).
