Vyyo Inc. , a global supplier of fixed wireless broadband end-to-end solutions for wireless telephony and high-speed data connections, today announced that China Netcom Inc., the second largest telecom operator in China, has deployed Vyyo's wireless broadband solutions in six major cities with another city currently in the implementation phase. These systems serve as the basis for China Netcom's high-performance Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) network and are installed and integrated by one of Vyyo's system integrators, Wuhan Research Institute (WRI).
"China represents a significant growth opportunity for Vyyo. As broadband momentum in the region grows, the importance of the Chinese market for Vyyo grows as well," said Davidi Gilo, chairman and CEO of Vyyo.
