PPD, Inc. today reported revenue and earnings guidance for 2004.

Net revenue for 2004, excluding reimbursed out-of-pockets, is expected to be in the range of $760 to $770 million, an increase of 14 percent to 15 percent as compared to forecasted net revenue of $665 to $670 million for 2003. Earnings per diluted share for the full year 2004 are expected to be in the range of $1.65 to $1.72. The quarterly 2004 earnings per diluted share are expected to be in the following ranges: Q1 -- $0.38 to $0.39; Q2 -- $0.38 to $0.40; Q3 -- $0.44 to $0.46; and Q4 -- $0.45 to $0.47.
