Corrine Knutson
A private service is planned for Corrine M. Knutson of Eugene, who died March 27 of age-related causes. She was 82.
She was born July 17, 1922, in Madison, Kan., to Bill and Esther Cameron Randall. She graduated from East High in Wichita, Kan., in 1940. She married Marvin Knutson on Dec. 22. 1945, in Portland.
She was employed by Boeing in Seattle from 1941 to 1945. She worked as a lumber secretary in the Eugene area from 1946 to 1973. She enjoyed creating miniature scenes and spending time with family and friends. She was a former member of the Eugene Country Club and Junior League of Eugene.
Survivors include her husband; her son, Bruce of Madison, Ala.; her daughter, Nancy Bank of Portland; her sister, Verold Cupp of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and nine grandchildren. A son, Randall Knutson, died in 2003.
England's Eugene Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Simmons
A memorial service will be held April 12 for Robert Chester Simmons of Eugene, who died March 20 of age-related causes. He was 83.
He was born Aug. 18, 1921, in Portland to Loren and Ruby Buckingham Simmons. He married Harriet Mulford in Seattle on Aug. 11, 1946.
Simmons graduated from Corvallis High School and received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the University of Oregon. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1940 until he retired in 1961.
