Emeryville, CA-Virginia Tech has chosen Millennium for its library management system including fully integrated tools for federated searching, e-resource and archival management, communication with campus computing hardware, and wireless circulation functions. With Virginia Tech's decision, Innovative has extended its lead among customer libraries that are Association of Research Library (ARL) members by one, for a total of 37.
Efficient Workflow
"We noticed during the demonstration of Millennium that everything seemed to be very streamlined-not only for the patrons, but also for the staff," says Leslie O'Brien, Director of Technical Services at Virginia Tech. "We think Innovative's tools will speed our workflow across the board."
For example, Virginia Tech subscribes to over 20,000 e-serials, which take considerable staff time to control with homegrown databases and spreadsheets.
