Parents who thought their "getting carded" days were over better get ready to show some ID in Antioch and Lake Villa.

Whether it's dropping off a left-behind lunch or a forgotten clarinet, all visitors at Antioch and Lakes Community high schools now need to show a driver's license or a state identification card to make it past the front desk.

School officials will use the ID to check the national sex offenders registry, and those flagged won't be allowed in, said Sean Garrison, director of attendance and discipline at Antioch High School.
