PERKINSTON -- Technology is popping at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC). The state's largest community college is meeting the demands of the world of rapidly expanding technology by offering 63 technology-related courses on its Perkinston, Jefferson Davis and Jackson County campuses.

As technical prep director for the MGCCC district, John Shows is a liaison with high schools in Stone, George, Jackson and Harrison counties. "We have formal training agreements with high schools to offer classes and from those classes students can transcript in to MGCCC," he said. "All the courses are doing excellent. Just open the doors and the kids are there."
