S&P lowers Nichimen's long-term rating to BB minus.

TOKYO, Dec. 21 Kyodo

Standard & Poor's Corp. (S&P) said Friday it has lowered its long-term rating on trading firm Nichimen Corp. to BB-minus from BBB-minus, with a negative outlook.

S&P also downgraded its short-term rating for the firm to B from A-3.
