TOKYO, Dec. 17 Kyodo

Teijin Ltd., Japan's biggest polyester manufacturer, said Monday it will begin producing polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles from used bottles in October 2003, using its new recycling technology.

The complete PET bottle recycling business will be the first in the world, Teijin said.
