TOKYO, Dec. 12 Kyodo

Share prices on the Tokyo Stock Exchange snapped a three-day losing streak Wednesday as investors were relieved that a report by the Bank of Japan (BOJ) on its quarterly survey of business confidence was within expectations.

The 225-issue Nikkei jumped 327.61 points, or 3.13%, to close at 10,801.52. The broader Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX) of all First Section issues grew 21.48 points, or 2.12%, to 1,036.17.
