TOKYO, Dec. 6 Kyodo

The administration of U.S. President George W. Bush supports Japan's fiscal reform efforts, including the 30 trillion yen bond cap, and will not press Tokyo to boost fiscal spending to spur the economy, Deputy Treasury Secretary Kenneth Dama said Thursday.

Dam, however, urged Japan to remove deflationary pressure and to clean up banks' nonperforming loans to contribute to global economic growth.
