TOKYO, Nov. 29 Kyodo

The Nikkei Stock Average closed marginally higher for the first time in three trading days on Thursday after hovering around the previous day's closing level amid a lack of trading incentives.

The 225-issue Nikkei rose 31.15 points, or 0.29%, to close at 10,655.96. The broader Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX) of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange shed 4.79 points, or 0.45%, to end at 1,048.50.
