Kanazawa University in Ishikawa Prefecture mistakenly rejected six applicants who passed its fiscal 1997 and 1998 entrance exams, due to computer errors, university officials said Monday.

The science faculty of the state-run university rejected the six based on calculation errors over the results of the physics and chemistry components of the government-administered preliminary university entrance examinations, the officials said.
