TOKYO, June 15 Kyodo

The U.S. dollar firmed against the yen Friday in Tokyo as the market barely responded to the Bank of Japan's (BOJ) decision to keep its current monetary policy unchanged.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 121.38-41 yen, compared with 121.25-35 yen at 5 p.m. Thursday in New York.
