TOKYO, June 13 Kyodo

The U.S. dollar strengthened against the yen Wednesday in Tokyo, reflecting growing market skepticism toward the Japanese economy.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 122.20-23 yen, compared with 121.55-65 yen at 5 p.m. Tuesday in New York.

During the day, the dollar moved between 121.55 yen and 122.44 yen. The most frequently traded rate was 122.20 yen....
