TOKYO, June 13 Kyodo

The Nikkei Stock Average closed slightly lower Wednesday after it lost solid gains on a dramatic sell-off in the last minute of trading believed related to the day's maturity of bond products linked to the average.

The 225-issue Nikkei finished down 16.65 points, or 0.13%, at 12,823.45. The broader Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX) of all First Section issues was off 0.48 point, or 0.04%, to 1,272.73.
