The yet-to-be-finalized trade of right fielder Sammy Sosa to Baltimore answers the biggest question of the off-season for the Cubs.

At the same time, it raises a whole bunch of others about what happens from here. Let's examine a few of those issues:

Q. When will the deal become official?

A. Assuming Commissioner Bud Selig gives his approval, which is expected today, the players should take physical exams Tuesday or Wednesday. Announcements could come Wednesday or Thursday.

Q. How much money are the Cubs picking up from Sosa's contract?

A. It looks to be $12.5 million of the $17 million Sosa is owed for this year.
