Iraqi voters go to polls in Rosemont: Thousands of ex-pat Iraqis voted in he first election where they had real choices to run their government back home. In previous Iraqi "elections" there were always other names on the ballot with Saddam Hussein, but Saddam would always win with 99% of the vote.

Only a crass student of suburban Chicago politics would find it interesting that Iraqis cast their ballots at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Of course, the hall is named for Mayor Donald E. Stephens, the almighty Republican ruler of Rosemont who is the only the leader the village has ever had since it's founding in...
