MIAMI & SOPHIA ANTIPOLIS, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 2005 - Popular Telephony, the telecommunications middleware company and creator of Peerio(TM) -- the innovative technology for server-free, peer-to-peer communications -- has expanded its growing presence in Asia by appointing Danny Liu (Liu Peng) as a strategic People's Republic of China Sales Representative, and signing two Peerio licensing and deployment agreements.
The appointment and agreements, announced at the Internet Telephony Conference in Miami, both signify the importance of the Peerio technology to the rapidly developing, strategic, Chinese market.
Mr. Liu comes to Popular Telephony with rich sales and sales management experiences, and a sound background in telecommunications.
Liu's previous record includes executive sales and marketing positions in the various enterprises in China, including Viewtran Inc., iSoftel, Ztech Data Communications and other leading companies.
