Augusten Burroughs, the man who put the fun in dysfunctional, is still batting a solid 1000 in the book department. His fourth and latest effort, Magical Thinking, is a series of twenty-seven hilarious and frequently poignant short autobiographical essays which span from Burroughs' offbeat (to say the very least) youth, through his young adulthood, and culminating in his present-day antics and adventures. There are plenty of solid belly laughs as well as numerous smirks and snickers contained in these pages. This is one of those books that when read in public will prompt others to think, "What are they reading?"
